In the late 50s and early 60s the Navy switched from orange flight suits to the sage green ones mainly because of the start of the Vietnam War. American pilots wanted a green flight suit as to be less visible if shot down over enemy territory. This CWU-1/P flight suit is dated July 18, 1958 and has the early black tag label. This flight suit would be a very unique and still well known piece to add to your collection. Details:

Full zip front
Adjustable 2 button strap sleeve cuffs

Zip up pant sleeve cuffs

SIZE: Tag Size = Mens Small Regular with 26 inseam

ITEM CONDITION: Pre-owned VERY GOOD
Normal signs of wear with a few scattered faint pin head to pea size discolorations on the left front collar and left backside pant ankle areas including a large but faint discoloration on the ankle area, all as seen in photos.
